They just don't have the money! A dangerous concept to accept!
Ever heard that from a new prospect after your sales pitch [or some would say when I educated the client]? Last Friday, I was asked this very question and how would I handle that response. Simple, I don’t believe it at all! Your new prospect may not buy from you, but there are other reasons and saying “I don’t have the money is just a nice way to tell you no.” Disposable Income?In my years of training salespeople, I spent many months on this one single concept. Your competitor is really not your competitor but an ally. They justify your existence and only contribute to the over all experience of your business sector. Your “true” competitor is disposable income. Get Rid of NegativityPeople usually never consider who they are friends with or who they work with. This should be a consideration whenever you accept a new friend. It isn’t rude or stuck up to turn down someone or even shed a Toxic Friend. It is completely necessary. Think about the people you spend the most time with. Do you look forward to seeing them each time? Is it always you who is the helper or the person who will drive to see them or have the party? Everything in life should be balanced. It is important to level out all aspects and make sure that the people on the other side are equal in their efforts, friendship and accountability or you will always feel things are not right. |
