Tonya Hofmann is the CEO and Founder of Your Local City, Inc.  She started her company as soon as she realized that there was a huge need to help business with their advertising and promotion needs.  She began her company in February 2005 with just an idea of affordable advertisement.

YourLocalCity.com was born but quickly found that there had to be more.  So in 2006 she started the first Your Local City networking group.  Tonya made an effort to bring together positive professionals who love to help each other.  The groups are designed to give a learning experience to help the group members at each meeting with their business or personal growth.  Promoting businesses on the website and in person has made a huge impact on so many lives.

The company is planning on continual growth throughout the United States so that everyone everywhere will be connected to the most positive and professional business owners there are.  In 2009, Your Local City has expanded across Texas with the help of amazing Regional Directors.

            Tonya has an amazing husband and business partner, Michael Hofmann and two wonderful kids.  She grew up mostly in the Houston, TX area and got her degree at the University of Houston where she met her husband.  In 1993, they bought a Science and Nature retail store in the Clear Lake area of Houston and in 1996; they opened up their second location in the Rice Village area of Houston.  Even though they loved the stores and their loyal customers, they both decided in 1999 to close up both stores and move to the Austin area.

            Tonya became a Wholesale Gift Industry Sales Rep working from San Marcos to Waco and from San Angelo to College Station helping small to corporate companies buy their stock for their retail stores.  During the five and a half years in the industry, Tonya realized that something need to be done with help promote, market, advertise and give support to local businesses and sales professionals. 

            She then started up Your Local City, Inc. 2005 and has loved every minute of it.  Tonya has never believed in competition but rather coopertition because it is a lot more fun and more profitable if everyone cooperates together to get what they want rather than trying to hurt each other.  She also wanted to focus on only having people around her that were positive and nice!  As her son says… no Meaners or Whiners! 

            She has loved working with so many amazing professionals.  The most exciting times are when you get to meet someone new or help someone accomplish their goals.  Sometimes they don’t know what those goals are but Tonya has the ability to few pass the clouded view point of the person in front of her.

            Tonya has also put together the Ultimate Networking Conference 5 years in a row.  She started the first one as a way for other networking groups, organizations, chambers of commerce and non profits to get together and meet each other.  She expected 50 for the first one and got 150!  The second and third was just as successful in Austin, TX.  In Feb. 2010 she decided to take the conference a Royal Caribbean Cruise and on Oct. 7th 2010 is putting on the 5th Annual UNC in Austin and you can find out more at www.UltimateNetworkingConference.com. 

            With having her own retail store to owning her own marketing/website company, she knows the exciting world of business.  But not only that, she herself has changed and grown outside of her comfort zone to become the woman she is today.
